If you had no idea how I decided on my business name, this next session will give you a little insight to the name, Urban Shutter Bug Photography. When I decided on business names I wanted something that would embody beautiful subjects in urban locations. When I first chatted with Carl and Kristy they wanted a more downtown urban feel for their engagement session. So that’s just what I gave them.
Carl, Kristy and I explored downtown San Jose. We explored nooks and crannies, busy streets, and parking lots. I am very happy with how their session came out. It screams Urban Shutter Bug Photography!
They met twelve years ago in college and Kristy explains that she stalked Carl until she caught his eye. Fast forward to the proposal where Carl took a more practical move and presentented Kristy with a convertible instead of a ring (she later received one of those too). I enjoyed learning so much about these two love birds. Enough with the words, on to the photos!

Iris & Randy are a laid back couple who is totally in love. Though they argued a bit about the number of years they’ve REALLY REALLY been together (seems like 8 to me lol) you can tell they complement each other nicely and I can’t wait to document their wedding in Lake Tahoe in July.
Iris & Randy decided to have their engagement session taken outdoors in San Francisco because well they love nature and they love San Francisco. We started at China Beach then headed over to Lands End.
